February 3, 2016A beautiful website has just been released by I&P, the impact investing group dedicated to small and medium enterprises in Sub-Saharan Africa, to illustrate the power and impact of SMEs in Africa. Small is Powerful takes us to the very heart of 5 SMEs located in Senegal, Mauritania, Nigeria, Benin and Madagascar through interactive reports such as photographic series, short and long films, impact assessments, graphics and soon a web documentary.
The featured SMEs include egg producers, aquaculture managers, recyclers, providers of water and energy, networks of health structures…each one combining a positive social and environmental impact with business acumen and results.
This project is a powerful visual illustration of the potential of the private sector, and especially of small and medium sized enterprises, for Africa’s development.
