In July, the United Kingdom Secretary of State for International Development Justine Greening announced the launch of a Civil Society Partnership Review to assess DFID’s relationships with civil society in the UK and across the world. The project aims to create more strategic, innovative and efficient partnerships with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) so as to better benefit populations in need, given that DFID spends about 1/5th of its bilateral budget through CSOs annually. The initiative launched in July will spread over 5 months until November 2015, gathering views and drawing recommendations on how to work more efficiently with CSOs in the future.
