Luc Verscoore has close to 40 years of professional experience in business and consulting, including over 20 years in management positions both project team management and business management. He has worked extensively on projects funded by the European Union, DFID and MCC for the past 20 years. He is used to work with large teams of consultants of different ethnic, cultural and professional backgrounds. His experience covers a broad range of countries in Asia, Africa and Meda countries. During his career, he has resided for long periods in different African countries. Presently, he is based in Brussels.
For many years he has held overall responsibility for project supporting private sector development, investment promotion, trade regulatory and institutional reforms and trade policy formulation. He has been for several years director of Asia Invest promoting trade and investment cooperation between countries in Europe and countries throughout Asia. During his professional career, he has worked on projects related to trade and development, industrial co-operation and international investment, SME development, feasibility studies, financial and technical audits of companies, and marketing and market research. He has hands-on experience in training and capacity building of public institutions. He speaks French and English.
