Ben Carey

Ben Carey spent fifteen years managing research teams at investment banks, with a focus on emerging and frontier markets in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and Russia/CIS. Since leaving the city, he has held operational roles in several start-ups in various sectors, including mining finance, social housing and financial inclusion. He has an MBA from INSEAD and an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics, and speaks Russian fluently and some French. When not working or parenting he can usually be found messing about in boats.
